Secrets

[Source: PostSecrets.]

I wish that my rapist would have just killed me.
At work I eat lunch alone in the bathroom.

I lie to my parents about where I go on Sunday mornings.
I cheat at cards with Grandma.

Every time I travel I bring an outfit for a funeral.
I want to watch the world burn, then save the people I love.

Acetylene Dream

You tap
on my window
surprisingly

late

like wind-
blown

grains
of white
lunacy,

bringing
with you

cries
and sparks
and an R

rating
(for sexual
content),

and when
night
at last

grows
indistinct,

a mere
smear
of stars,

the heart
blinks,
as if running
on dying

double A
batteries

but bound
for something
like Hurray!
